Autumn Yin Immersion: Moving Inward, Letting Go!
Join experienced Yin Yoga teacher, Katie Wolfe, for a two hour retreat-style experience focused on the elemental energy of metal which is associated with Autumn. Learn to work with the shift in seasonal energy and utilize it as a beautiful opportunity for turning inward in your life.
Are you ready to surrender the heaviness of the year and return to the most open, resilient version of yourself? Have you been dealing with big life changes, and are ready to calmly and courageously step into the next season of your life? Yin Yoga is a uniquely balancing practice for body and mind. It works to create harmony for both the physical body and nervous system, as well as the subtle body or energy pathways known as Meridians in Yin.
Katie will offer tools for supporting yourself on this inward journey and then guide you through a purposeful sequence of Yin postures to stimulate the organs governed by the metal element through the meridians for lungs and large intestines. Yin postures traditionally take place down on the mat for longer and deeper holds to promote overall health of the musculoskeletal system and internal organs. Enjoy a guided meditation and sweet Savasana to close the practice with mindfulness and intention for the season ahead.
All postures will be guided and instructed for each student present, there is no previous yoga experience needed to enjoy this experience. Necessary props are provided but we suggest bringing anything extra that you like to have, such as eye pillows, bolsters or blankets.
